Oh, that must be why our corldess one is plugged in. Oops...

So your saying that word perfect caused the power in the entire office to be cut!?!?! wow! that is glitchie software, they should really do something about that!

Yes, it's an urban legend... but it's still funny.
Stupid people (read: relatives) often call me with technical problems. The FIRST questions I ask are:
"Is it plugged in?"
"Is the monitor connected to the computer?"
"Is it turned on?"

And the sad thing is, sometimes this works. I actually fixed a "broken" printer over the phone with this.
