Default lost world/pre-dinosaur creatures

I remember talking about this a while ago, and I said something about the 8foot long scorpion-like creature with the two claws, but no tail (and hence no tail sting)

Well, it seems that there are REAL WORLD creatures that exist today that are similar in shape, just really small (like 1-2 mm)

here :http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudoscorpion

If anyone was to make a creature icon...

I even have a pseudoscorpion portrait on my homepage...

http://one.xthost.info/Dinonykos/pagespri.html

In any case, the pseudoscorpions are not directly related to the huge eurypterides
(you can find an icon on my icon-page - I think I also posted it here in the forum), and, what makes them interesting, the poison glands are inside the pedipalps!

Do you want a realistic icon?
Joking aside, I planned to do an icon for my portrait anyway. I would make it look ~150 cm long. Is that fine with you?

Here comes the pseudoscorpion:

Uatu will probably right away see that the proportions are not correct, but this is firstly because it is quite a small icon, and secondly, because I wanted it to fit with my small pic...

The pedipalps could be bigger... however, there are a lot of pseudoscorpion species, thus, I assume this icon may at least come close to one of them. Additionally, I would assume that bigger species should have proportionally smaller pedipalps and shorter legs...

Nice icon, Dinonykos. Stylistically, this reminds me of Uatu's work.
Gosh, someone should do a design that uses both of your art together... (Or maybe he should just finish it...)
