I got it in an email ("exclusive to subscribers," apparently! What a load of c**p!).

Anyway, this has really resurged my excitement for Oblivion, the magic system does sound quite groundbreaking, and with that script effect stuff... Something tells me I'm going to have lots of fun with my first mage

Btw, there were three "exclusive" screenshots in the email as well, but I think most of you will have already seen them, the first two certainly aren't new:

Sweeeeet. I can see magic becoming a major twitchfest however, thats not so sweeeeeeet.

Magic and Weapons being used at the same time? Reeks of FPS mad twitch to me.

Ooh. I still don't know what a "mad twitch" is, but I see where you're coming from.

I think it's a really good idea, personally. Having to switch in Morrowind was always awkward, and assuming the enemy AI is good enough (lmao) it should make for far more exciting battles! And tbh, there's no reason why a character wouldn't be able to use magic and weapons conjunctively. It's not like you can literally swing a sword and cast a spell at the same time, anyway, just do the two in quick succession without any extra hassle [img]smile.gif[/img] .

Nice post, Brayf! I had not seen the last two pics, and am still undecided on the first. The newsletter update, be it "exclusive" or not, was very interesting. Thanks for posting it.

Just a rule of thumb with Bethesda. Usually they circulate new screenshots to other sites before they post them up as "new" on their site. So some of the time, you'll probably see "new" screeshots being old.
