Anyone get Call of Duty: Black Ops? How is it?
My friend is getting it, but doesn't know much about it--Is it like Modern War 2?
I saw that it was out yesterday... If you have it, how is it? I'll let him know. (He wants it to be like Modern War 2, but better...??) Thanks...

Not got it but I saw an article on how good it is this morning. Critics are apparently raving about it.

Is he into the multiplayer?
I'm not a multiplayer person, but so far the campaign is pretty good. Not MW2 good (though a lot of people didn't seem to like the single player in that either, however I loved it) The multiplayer is from what I'm told repeatedly, the best part about this game and it stomps all over MW2. |

CoD always has nice singleplayer campaigns and BO is no exception. Some nice levels and some interesting twists and of course characters you become attached to.
The multiplayer takes almost everything good from the MW series and improves it. There is a LOT more customisability and you can use your experience points to unlock what you want to unlock rather than have the game dictate at what level you get what perks/upgrades. The only downside for me ATM is severe performance issues affecting the PC version. The Steam forums are on fire at the moment lol. Lots of stuttering and lag on low to high end rigs. Apparently a hotfix is coming soon though. |
