I picked North Korea because as of right now they are the only ones with a government unstable enough to actually try something silly, however they really are not much of a threat since they do not have any really long range delivery systems...so mostly they just endanger their neighbors.

If you mean by threat those most likely to USE them in the near future, it is most likely that if someone government is going to nuke another it will be either Pakistan or India... now this doesnt count terrorist uses of nuclear devices.

According to the current polls, it Looks like the only thing we have to fear is ourselves.

As a child in the U.S. during the early 1980's I feared nuclear war. I lost sleep over it on a nightly basis, waiting for the emergency sirens that would give me time to prepare for death. I was nine. Every where my family moved, I would find out how big of a target that place would be to the Soviets. Practically obsessed.

Fear like that is a mind killer, a soul killer. Especially in the openness of a child. That kind of fear is unnatural.

I Thank God that fear is neither permanent, nor all-powerful.

This is why we should get rid of nukes altogether, they may work as a deterent for some situations, but are way to big a liability for our future.

Something I noticed..In the thread title it says "Threat it u.s". So, um, is the thread about a theat on someone harming the US with nukes or the world as a whole?

I agree with ya completely, Chewbacca, having these things anywhere in the world is possibly the scariest thing I can think of. Got to wonder what us humans are doing, throwing around threats and jokes about actually blowing up the world and every innocent (animal) soul on it
