Picking their noses i suppose. I come often in big offices, and most of the time it seems like the majority is bored. They definitely don't drown in work, that's for sure. One time i walked into someone's office, and he noticed too late that i entered, so he was too late using his browser's backbutton, hiding the pornsite he was checking out.

Sometimes you hear them complain about how hard they had to work the other day, and i can't help laughing about that.

Depends on the kind of work you do. And no, I'm not being punny.

I do sales and consulting. I used to work in one of those buildings, but now work out of the house. I'd spend my time hunting leads, calling prospects, setting up meetings, preparing demos, giving demos, following up on issues, and closing the sale. Then I'd get to go to the customer's building and install software, train people on it, and search for more prospects. In between, I'd get to develop things and find more work.

Hmmm... it felt more glamorous before I described it...
