From the trailer this looks really good. Personally i think the US healthcare system is horrible, hopefully this makes more americans take note.

My wife got tickets from work for the advance screening last night.
I think it's just a sad truth made obvious. I think it's sad that Americans distill for this. This is a documentary, so I find it hard to rate in terms of great, good etc. It's just what it is. Michael has some experience with these types of films now, so I will say it's well put together. I will also say you will be taken through a range of emotions. I have all of Kevin Trudeau's books: "Natural cures they don't want you to know about". He says the same thing with respect to the FDA and drug companies. ..better to let a person die, than to pay out. Again neighbours, watch it and get sturred up. Then get to your computers or pen and paper and make an effort to change things.

Yeah, it's mindblowing to those who didn't already know.
I myself have known the dirty truth for years. The bottom line is that once-off cures aren't economical so we don't see many of them. Instead we see things that can "soothe", "help" and "alleviate" conditions and only for a certain period of time (usually hours) before we need to re-take or re-stock our supply.

The healthcare system worked for me, saved my life in fact. I know there are many problems with paying for the healthcare. I probally won't see this unless one of my teachers plays it in class like Farenheit(ght?) 9/11. I'm not a real big fan of Moore, I think he's kind of rude, but I did like how embarrassed Bush in 9/11.

Well no-one is saying it cannot save lives. But then, "live" people make better consumers.
I like him only because he dares to be different and speak out about these issues. I personally, would describe the people responsible for the state of the health system as alot more than "rude". So I guess Moore gets off lightly in comparison to these guys.

Yes, I can think of stronger words than "rude" to describe letting a person suffer and/or die, to save a buck.

Did I say that kind of behavior was exscusalble? Trust me, I'm more ruthless than most when people deserve retribution for lack of a better word. Moore is more than rude, why doesn't he work to help more people instead of just trying to exspose all the wrongs in our society which most people already know. I won't say anything else, I'm trying to make an arguement here when you want to discuss Sicko. I apologize.

Balintherlas , you need to see this movie. I will spoil it a bit by saying he gave thousands of dollars anonymously to the guy that has the hate website against him (I forget the name of it) to help is sick wife.
And how do you know whether he helps people or not? Many many people give and do a lot to help others, but they don't go around bragging about it. Personally, I did not find him rude at all in this movie. He was going around asking questions. If that's rude then I guess all are. The thing is, the US is a very rich country and can easily have health care like here in Canada.

It is good, but he does make the other countries like Canada, France, Cuba seem to be medical paradises this is simply not true. But the caring approach that these countries has is better than the money greed approach that the US system has is true. But don't let him fool you into thinking that those systems are without problems. I would say that the really rich in the US would like there system much better while the middle class gets the shaft. The film targets the middle class, if the middle class gets the shaft than the working poor are even worse off. As well he does things like show a convoy of boats of Americans going to Cuba for treatmeant, the ones who went took a plane. Why show the convoy as this is false. Hopefully the Middle Class takes note because that is were the political voting power lies.
