Re: Ironworks Political Chart
I'm a rationalist, which by definition means that I can't identify with any political orthodoxy unless I'm also a hypocrite.

Re: Ironworks Political Chart
Hm, I think a perfect meritocracy would be a nightmare. Its people would probably be quick to accept any distribution of wealth, however unfair it may be to some classes. Even in a meritocracy, the playingfield is often far from level.

Re: Ironworks Political Chart
libertarian ... mmmmmm this always amuses me. Sure it sounds catchy, even a great ideal but beyond the cool sound bites lay a gaping void of logic IMO.
1) So will they introduce new laws to override old laws (Irony?) 2) which laws are they going to get rid of? Child protection laws, anti pollution laws? Laws against racial intolerance? speeding laws? 3) If they are just going to tidy up old obscure laws that are not relavent to todays society then fine, all for it, but why doesn't some other party get up of their fat arse and do it.... ? And yes I have studied the libertarian web sites and remain even further disenchanted.

That's the result I got from http://www.politicalcompass.org (which I took a couple of months ago... didn't see the point in doing another test ) I think it was Winston Churchill who said that anyone conservative before the age of 30 has no heart, and anyone liberal after the age of 30 has no brain. |

Re: Ironworks Political Chart
According to that wesbite Jaradu posted a link to, I am in a similar place to Ghandi.
I generally don't get involved with politics much. Not sure why, I probably will more when I reach voting age, but it has never really interested me before much.
