Here's something... (from Wikipedia )

In Baldur's Gate II the characters encounter him and his party at a certain point of the game, when the player can choose to have him help the group or fight them. If the player character is an elf named 'Drizzt' with low reputation, then the real Drizzt will challenge him for the honour of his name.

This is very very very interesting...

Has anyone ever done this? Or is this not true at all? I would love that crazy schmoe to attack me for once instead of the other way round...

Thanx in advance

It has been mentioned before, but I have not personally verified it yet.

Hmm wow! super speed Dundee! I would just like to see the diologue for it. While the all knowledgable one is here perhaps you can cure my curse! The chronic restart syndrome! I am once again tempted to run through the game with a character, but have no clue of what class! Any opinions?

Thank you great one

After checking with Near Infinity, here we go.

Your PC needs to be an Elf and has a reputation lower than 12.

His/Her( yes, females are allowed...) name can either be "Drizzt" or "Drizzt Do'Urden"
Quote:

You there! Finally we meet... I've had enough of you wandering about pretending to be me! Earn your own reputation... my name is my own!!

My name is Drizzt Do'Urden, once of Menzoberranzan and now of Ten Towns... and you are an imposter!!
As for class recommendations, what have you not used yet?

~~~~ ~~~~
Personally, this is my favourite dialogue from Drizzt.
Quote:
You there! I recognize you! You are the scoundrel that attacked me for no good reason near Baldur's Gate and made off with my equipment!
a ranger archer might not be the best choice if you want to keep your reputation low (although you will have the 'special ability' to manage reputation closely before you meet drizzt)
Wow thats a bit of an easter egg
Heres a question tho,
If you import youre character from BG1 into BG2 is there any extra dialogues referring to you're past decisions ?
To > Tom-Slayer, there is no known cure for chronic restarting I'm sure we had a clinic for it in one of the forums years back but I'm still cursed by it and have found the only way around it is to literally spend around an hour making youre characters as right for you as you can, bah whats even worse is that it can take me hours just to think of a name
