Being forced to contribute to United Way??? - Page 2

wouldnt being forced to donate to a charity just because your boss wants you to just defeat the purpose pretty much? chances are its going to a corrupt charity, and it really takes away from feeling good about your donation. if i were gonna give money to anyone, i would prefer for it to be my choice instead of the choice of the 'big guy'.

Yeah, the problem I have seen is that most large corporations are big supporters of United Way, and nobody else.

True, Epona, that's why my own main donation to charity goes to associations that develop and sponsor schools for children of many coutries. Being from a teachers family, I believe it is so much better, instead of giving them a fish, to give them the means to build their own fishing ropes.
