Many will understand the term, for those that don't it means that there are WAAYYY to many + weapons in the
game.. not that I don't enjoy it, but lets get real, a level 5 character shouldn't find a +3 Weapon or PLATE MAIL!!! Its nice though I guess, you DO need the armor and weapons to kill these high level monsters. What do you guys think? too monty? Ziroc |

Well, I don't find it too bad.. I mean, gold is adequate but it's not falling from the sky... especially if you've ever had to enlist those stingy clerics to resurrect or re-incarnate a character or two! As for the excess of magic weapons.. I have to say that they don't come quick enough! Monster after monster requires magic weapons just to be able to damage it, and though I'm still in chapter two, I can only see this getting worse.
But I believe that all this is intentional... Icewind Dale was meant to be a very combat-oriented fast-paced dungeon hack type of game, and a big part of that is finding kick assed magical stuff with which you can smite some very nasty monsters, who descend upon you almost constantly. I'm loving it every step of the way! |

I agree, it really is a fast paced game. The items may seem a little powerful but then again so are the opponents.Happy killing people.

I have to disagree. Sure there are some good magical weapons, but it's not like you're walking out with armfuls of them to sell. And even armed with plate mail and magical swords. the battles still require some thought -- tanking your way through is not going to cut it.
