Anyone notice that the word "conkers" rhymes with the word "bonkers"??

Very good Fall game Donut. I guess putting your nuts on "the line" for a gallon of beer is worth it.

Long live the Aesculus hippocastanum!

Ouch - when you put it like that it starts to hurt.

hello everybody,
the little icon i have added looks like my conker last night as it was battered to destruction by my own doing. the not new barmaid just had a sturdy nut. each time i hit it i hurt my own conker. it was only a matter of time until i lost. depressed i was but relief came when food was passed around.
message to donut. she is extremely small the new barmaid isn't she? can't believe you lost.
hope all is well with everubody. this is probably another of my fleeting visits to cyberworld.

In the second round I was pitted against the new barmaid. It was her first night in the pub so I immediately set out to intimidate her 'Do you know who I am?' I boomed. She is about 4ft 10in tall so I deliberately towered over her (at 6ft 1) in an attempt to put the fear of god into her.

I started well, with a few hefty blows, she managed to hit mine once. Then as I smahed her conker for the sixth time my own nut burst into very small pieces and I went away defeated, just managing to mutter 'well done' to my tiny opponent.

Never mind - there's always next year!

A lucky finesse, no doubt!

Well, I'm burning with curiousity...how'd she do in the next round?

Cheers,

A 'cheesy' reply rico. Yes, the new barmaid is small, but perfectly formed!

Saz, she was beaten in the next round. Four women entered and three of them reached the semi-finals. Male pride was salvaged though, the champion was a man.
