Mem, the old board had 5400+ Registered members! and those other forums (non rpg) were dead city.

BTW, just to drop my 2 shiny pennies in, I think its ok is someone wants to post if they are REALLY leaving or say if they are moving or going into the hospital.

But I think what Rikard was saying is that people were posting, saying 'I'm leaving' to see if they get a bunch of feedback, and then they would stay..?

Like I said in another post, "Damnit, no one is leaving!"

HAHA so sayeth Ziroc the Web Master !!!!

I think that too ziroc, some people just posts to get attention for a time and then stay, and they feel they are more popular (but they arent i think, at least not for me).

well i really dont wanna give this too much attention

Guess I haven't really seen any, "Waahhhh, no one likes me!" posts. I've seen some from people with some issues (like health, death in the family, household move etc...) I have seen some that could be considered a 'cry for help'... In these cases, even though it might start out, "I'm so sad I am leaving," but turns into "I'm seriously depressed and need your support/help..." These I don't mind replying to. Maybe I'm a little more sensitive to this as I suffered from severe depression ( a long time ago)...?

well, a lot of things dont require my "sense". also, if one use something special too much, it gets bored.

P.S. you noticed everything? graaaaaaaaggggggghhhh

ARGH! I HATE SPAMFORFREAKINGSTARS!

Sorry 250, but I really do dislike that particular behavior, alot. I think that mindset is a bad example for new people on this board and I know I've said it before, but all the 'old-timers and moderately old-timers' have foreswarn such practices for future. I also think that with the number of members Memnoch says we have, it clogs up threads and makes it hard for the new people to get around and feel comfortable. In addition, it may send the message that we don't care what's posted as long as a person has a lot of stars and a title... I REALLY HATE that!

And yes, this particular post of yours that the Moderator pointed out, is indeed, one of the ones I might appreciate too.
