Okay - Let's talk about sites and site design.

Will this be your first website?

The best advice you can have about creating a site is to know what it is about so if you want to do Dungeon Lord use some search engines and ferret out what information is available and decide if that is really what you want to do. You may not even like the game so don't go rushing into the project. If you try to create a site without thoroughly knowing your subject matter, it will show and your site will not interest people.

Choose a shorter name and one that is more to the point, the "erath-acab-" that you have in your suggested name makes the name unmemorable or easily mixed up.

Think about the project carefully. Why do you want to create a Dungeon Lord site? Running a website can be a lot of work depending on your goals. Be realistic about what you can achieve, how much money and time you have to devote to it. Are you going to be able to write a walkthru for the game? Can you offer technical advice if needed? What would you be offering on your site that would be different and useful that is not going to be offered on the sites that will spring up when the game is released? You cannot just grab material from other websites to create your's.

What programs will you be using to make your website? There are numerous programs out there that vary in price and quality. I use Dreamweaver for the Border Collie rescue site that I run. It's a great program and it isn't cheap. While there are some forum software that you can pick up for a low registration fee, they require a lot of work to get them "personalized" to fit your theme. A forum such as the UBB used here costs money. Do you want to be making that sort of financial investment into a website? What host are you planning on using? I went through 2 bad hosts before finding the one I use now for the rescue site. There are a lot of hosts that offer cheap prices and you get no support from them which can mean it is next to impossible to even make your website. This isn't an easy project.

If you really like the idea of creating a website and want to give it a try, choose a subject you know and really like! That will give you some hands on experience about what it is like to create a website before trying to tackle a much more complex project such as a Dungeon Lord site.

Hih!

Wyvern you might want to look my pages.
It's project from school, we had to make pages with some Javascript coding and stuff.

I'll just put there some things I like and there's my W&W pages too.

here's the link to my page

If you have time, look W&W pages there and give me some information about any things I should know about law things and others...

You'll find feedback page there too, you can use it or email me
to address: olli.maijala@seamk.fi

I would be very happy if you give me some feedback.

And all others too, visit my pages and give comment!

Nice site, Olli. One final suggestion -- you might want to have your feedback page link to a "thanks" page instead of your main page. That way, someone gives you feedback and goes to a page that thanks them for the feedback (so they know it's been delivered). From there, you can offer them a link back to the main page.

Good stuff!

Olli!

Looking good!! I think you've done a nice job with your pages! I didn't see anything posted which would cause legal concerns. You've linked to the other sites which might have been of concern had you tried to copy them, so you should be fine!

I would suggest that on the W&W gallery pages that you downsize the opening game picture a bit to save loading time and perhap omit it from the second gallery page entirely.

On the MTG page (which I realise is under construction) I was a bit confused that clicking the names of the card groups only scrolled you to the list of cards for that group. I guess I expected to see pictures of the cards and perhaps that is what you have planned. I'm also used to seeing "links" highlighted differently than the rest of the page so it was not obvious to me that I was to click on the "group name" and not the individual card names! Silly me, but I did figure that out.

You've done a nice job! The site is nicely laid out and easy to navigate and I have to compliment you that you're doing this in a second language! Good job!!

Ok.
Now there's thanks page and link back to main from there

Thank you for comments

To Wyvern:

I changed radically the outfit of pages and so there's at MTG page some
other links and fonts used than other pages.

And that scrolling thing... Well I just had to put some text into page and
I put 7th edition decks there. Those are decks names above and it just scrolls where the deck starts...

And in Legions spoiler list... Well it hard to modify it by hands and I've done it with CSS. They are not links and can't have pictures of them all
But to separate card names from another text was easiest to do like that
( use underline and in CSS, you choose color to underlined text... )

I'm going to change those galleries... Just wait to my teacher to ... how to sai it... well she just check them and give me feedback for cource...

To resize that big picture... I might to do them to open in new window.
It must be so big picture so you can see whats happening in it...

Well it's lot of work and I'll modify them when I can.
And if you have some ideas, I'm willing to hear you.

And Dude 77:

Maybe I should post this all to it's own topic... Sorry to use your post.
I'm interesting about coding pages and if you have some problems or other things with your page, give me post. My address is above in other reply.
I'm willing to share some tips and other stuff if you are interested.
