Reading through some old posts yesterday, I revisited the whole king of spells debate; Sorceror vs Cleric Mage.
I have no intention of reopening the debate here, but I was tempted by the question...what if you could have both? A sorcerous cleric? Oh, okay, just a sorceror with cleric spells. Or a cleric mage with the versatility of the sorceror. So I opened shadowkeeper. And created...a true child of bhaal. Or quite possible bhaal himself. Sadly, it wasn't possible (that I could see) to make it work quite the same way. I can assign a fixed number of castings of each cleric spell, which refresh on resting and apply to images. But it's specific to the spell, not the spells levels. e.g 3 minor healing + 3 armour of faith + ... and not 3 of either minor healing or AoF or... I'm very tempted now to solo a char of this kind...but I'm looking for suggestions to balance the char. It'll have to be managed in shadowkeeper, of course, but I don't mind that much. |

i guess the balance would be the same as the sorcerer balance in that you're only allowed to pick a repetoire of a few spells per level rather than all of them
maybe as there are less divine than arcane spells per level (iirc) that number should be less than a sorcerer gets - 4 perhaps? if you're worried limit yourself to staff and sling and maybe lighter armours? seems to fit my idea of your concept but needn't be what you had in mind i think there's a mod out their for a 'druidic sorcerer' |

Get DLTCEP and convert the cleric spells to wizard spells and save under a different file name. Then shadow keep them in for a sorcerer. Problem solved. Well, very almost. You'd still get to choose your sorcerer spells on level up, but you could shadow edit them out.

You could also try a Druidic Sorceror. I ran through the game with one a few months back and he was insanely powerful. Much of the time the most action the rest of my party saw ws picking up loot.
