I've played this game for like, five times now but only once got through to the certain temple of a certain god in chapter 2. I do not get how one could get there and not be bored, I for one thought I got way too little loot on my way there. Is there any increase in the loot gathered from that point? I really want to get on with playing but not if it means going on with the same stuff without any interesting rewards.

If you're talking about the ice temple, the loot inside is what counts, especially if you get through the battlesquares. And yes, after that the loot does get bigger, better and worthier.

Good, cause I was itchin' for better armor or AC items. Only to get me a good group, probably will copy one of the IWD groups after I've finished IWD, which shouldn't take too long, having too much fun with it.

You will soon get to finding merchants with very nice stuff to buy. Just bust through that chapter, and you will be buried in riches. Just make sure you have enough gold.

Keep in mind that in order to keep the game balanced, they are not going to give you ultimate equipment until you've played long enough to earn it. Besides, if you got +4 weapons in Targos, then the game would become a bore, unless of course you're playing HOF mode.

Yea, +4 weaps can get you through a good hunk of the game without leveling.
