So, back to the point. I have several miscelaneous items taking up space in me backpack as it were. So i want to know:

1) Why are they dropped?
2) Do I need to hang onto them?
3) If I do why?

Ok here's the list:

Hand of Dace
Eyestock of Beholder
Galvena's Medallion
Troll Head
Elder Orb's Blood

And Various other parts of enemies. The thing is, they have only started to appear late on in the game, all these body parts. Maybe the game swapped programmers or something? Or are they needed?

Damn, they do take up a lot of space...

  • Hand of Dace:
    1) Because you can always use an extra hand
    2) Not after you have completed that quest
    3) You need it to open the statue's mouth in the first spellhold maze level.
  • Eyestock of Beholder
    1) Because three eyes see more than two
    2) Not after you finished Ust Natha
    3) The Matron mother needs it for the ritual to summon the demon lord. As this can also be accomplished with th blood of the Kua-Toa Prince or the Elder Brain you might pickit up after the ritual at which point it is useless for you.
  • Medallion (from someone beside where you land on spellhold's island)
+) sorry, but I have no idea what particular amulet you're talking about
  • And Variuos other parts of enemies.
    1)a Lepracy epidemic
2)depends on wheter you have already used them properly or not
3)most of them (all I can recall right now) have a special one-time use in the game, give a list and I tell you if I know
-
The use for many enemy body parts is intuitive. For example HEADS are mostly there to collect a bounty (as in "there's a price on your head"), hearts are part of some ritual, etc.

If you're in the Underdark you can drop the trolls head and the medallion

trolls' head - place on the nearby altar and get The Bone Club (+2, +3 vs undeaders) in return.

Galvenas' medallion - there are several ways to get into the guild/brothel - using the medallion is one of them
