I've only had it for a couple of weeks but it's twenty
times faster than a regular phone line. (In case anyone
wondered.)

Perchance to dream . . . Someday . . .

Around here DSL costs about $65 a month.
As far as I know, you also need to be within at least 3 miles of your local phone exchange (usually the phone company building).

It cost $199.00 for the modem and it's $44.00 a month. Service
charges of around $150.00. I sent in for a $150.00 rebate for
the modem, and $120.00 worth of rebates from Sprint, to cover
the installation part. About $80.00 out of pocket once the
rebates get rebated..(if they do)

Ouch, you should look into cable. Where I am (in Canada) it's 39.95$ (Canadian) a month. They supplied the Ethernet Card and gave me 2 free months.

Well, now I have to use it extensively so I can say I got my
money's worth. Any faster and I'm not sure I'll know what to
do. Just kidding. It's a big difference from the norm.

We can't get cable internet in town either. The cable company says the "plans are in the works" but when asked to explain what that means, they reply that the plans have been "in the works" for several years, and they really don't know when they'll be able to offer cable internet connections.

Maybe I'll just move to Canada. My wife has always wanted to move up north.
