Ive Tried playing the game without any cheating at all, but its too much like hard work. I know a lot of people frown on cheating, but I find it difficult to resist gettin a few weapons, hitpoints or spells.

I`d just like to know what the rest of u think.

i think cheating makes the game too easy, if there was no challenge then there would be no point in playing (for me at least).

there are plenty of cool things sk can do that i don't consider cheating that i do all the time however, (changing npc portraits, checking romance values ect ect...)

Cheating eh? I tried to imput the cheat but it just ruined my PC meaning I had to wipe the whole thing. Thats the last time I cheat!

Learn from that, think twice

To each his own. Some people would consider even playing on "normal" to be cheating as it doesn't follow the Core Rules. The opposite end of the spectrum is tweaking all of your chars. and giving them multiple unique items. Whatever is FUN for you.

Myself, I always edit the protaganist as if it was exported for BG1 and used all the tomes (19 str, 19 con, 19 dex). I also remove the exp. cap. To keep it from being boring, I always play on the hardest difficulty. Even with god-like stats, the beginning is very difficult.

Eh, why bother getting cheat programs when there's so much munchkinizing goodness in the game itself? hell, multiplayer/importing opens up a ridiculous amount of possibility. I suppose it's useful for completing a quest or romance you've screwed up, but I save my game regularly. I dunno, just seems pointless.

Well if u ask me i think the exp cap stinks!!! but i wouldnt consider cheating even for a second, it takes ALL the fun out of the game(s), take this advice...dont start cheating on a game, it will take the fun out of it when you someday want to play it normally...and dont tell yourself as an excuse that 'oh if i just add a little to my dex' it can hardly be cheating...besides when u cheat you play the game a couple of times and then you put it away and start on another...thats my opinion. Hope all u cheaters learn from it!!!

Personally I think that cheating are OK after you have finished a game. After all it is there to be fun and if you cheat too much you spoil the fun.. But to be able to change some small things or to use the teleport quickie... oh man, tha is so addictive!

Dunno about that...I 'cheat'/make uber-chars when I'm bored or frustrated, but I also send my char on rampages in the Promenade when I'm bored/frustrated. that doesn't mean I don't go back to the game the next day.

Don't see why you would cheat before finishing the game, unless your game was bugged and you were stuck...cheating is a boredom thing, isn't it? i mean, if you can't play the game, why get it in the first place?
