Default 100 multiplied by 252

Is what I know to be the number of retired veterans who received an "unmarked" direct deposit into their banking accounts. And is the number who owed money, and had their tax preparation conducted at the Ft. Knox tax center. And had their tax documents printed for snail mail delivery. And had received their notice and inquiry to the Ft. Knox tax center on or before 7 JUL 10.

252 is the number of US dollars that above mentioned retired veterans must pay before 26 JUL 10 without incurring the wrath of the IRS.

You now may return to loving the policies of the current POTUS, and his administration.

Obama is really only after you, Felix. He 'scattershot' those overpayments just as a smokescreen. Time to stock up the bomb shelter,,,errr... "playroom basement."

But seriously, is this overpayment (if that's what it is) unique to the Ft. Knox area? We got our tax return back long ago, so what's up?

Lol, Felix worked himself into a solo rage last night and had to come here and vent by making a post the next day.

It's all coincidental to the fact. Line 63 of our tax returns were filled in with a 0, because there was no notice sent out. If the veteran had the return filed electronically, the pre-scan error finder found it, by SSN. If it was printed, as in "our" case, it was not pre-scanned, and therefore no error check conducted. Line 63 of form 1040 is the amount of any VA compensation that was not reported on line 14 of Schedule M.

The poor JAG assistant who was left there to handle audits and what not, had a running tally of this issue, with the hopes of preventing it next year, I was 108.

Who can complain about a free service provided by the government, for the government?!

Well, it doesn't affect me then, as none of my retirement is tax free.
