Got a thief? You can lay traps, rest, lay traps, rest, lay... ...

For less cheesy methods, use Melf's Minute Meteors. Position your mage outside the Golem room and get someone to shoot an arrow/bullet at the Iron Golem, the Iron Golem will charge your party but it can't fit through the door, thus, pelt it with MMM at your own leisure, rest to recharge the spell as necessary.

Do you have Lilarcor or another +3 weapon with a lot of reach? If so, then you can follow Dundee's suggestion but, instead of using MMMs, someone can stand outside the door & strike at the golem with said weapon. If you do it right, you can hit the golem but stay out of range of the poisonous cloud.

Ah, but he wishes to avoid being poisoned, so FoA, Blade of Roses are out, Staff of Rynn +4 though, is the ultimate poking-giant-golems-through-doors weapon.

It's reach is so long, you won't get hit by the poison cloud.

For some reason, if you stoneskin a mage then he/she doesn't seem to be affected by the poison.

I have often used Edwin to bash Iron Golems to death with a stick (staff+3) - after all he doesn't get to kill much without magic. I think I timed him once, and he took about 3 minutes real time because his THAC0 was so cr*p that he usually missed. I found it quite entertaining the first time I saw it.

Heehee,

Welcome to the Forum Big Red, you used Edwin? I used Aerie.

Though not in Nalia's Keep( used Melf's Minute Meteors for that one), I used the poking method in Windspear Hills.

Possible Spoiler Screenshots

By the way, I did this for another Forum, so ignore the headings.

I think that it's kinda funny how something as big, solid and strong as an Iron Golem cant bust through the wall

I know that they are basically automatons and I guess that they have a relentless morale but you think that it would have the instinct to at least retreat from the doorway and wait for you to go in after him..
