Please tell me i am not alone when it comes to playing solo, most of the RPG games i play i would play with only one character this is my second outing with a solo character in Icewind Dale i am playing with a ranger who has to be one of the best characters people can choose.

i go solo with a fighter/mage, or fighter/mage/thief. fighter/ mage is my favorite, of course using LOTS of spell slots for find traps, but oh well. too bad i cant disarm them, lol. but i do go solo at times, yes.

I had fun for a little while with a thief. but fighter/mage

Cleric/Ranger or a Cleric/Mage all the way!
Clerics are so needed in this game. Cleric rangers get all those attacks and with all those cleric and druid spells!the cleric/mage is obviously the ultimate spellcaster and between the defensive cleric spells, heals and the mage summon spells along with mirror images. |
