It's okay, it WAS a mistake - it should have been 570/4

Warne 1/154 in 34 overs, EIGHT, yes that's EIGHT bowlers used.

Memnoch - I can see from your last comment that this must be really hurting. The ridiculous decisions in the 2nd test were obviously made to redress the balance from the 1st.

They're coming home, they're coming home, they're coming,
Ashes coming home.

I hope the moral of the Australian team won't be so low that you don't put up a fight

Somehow my dad came up with two CASES of Spam. The first can or two was alright, but after awhile, I mean mom did try but....HAVENT HAD THAT STUFF SINCE THE LAST NASTY CAN WAS GONE!!!!!!!! Look what it did to me! Please Yorick for your own health and career,no mas!

hu·bris [hybriss ] noun

1. pride: excessive pride or arrogance

2. excessive ambition: the excessive pride and ambition that usually leads to the downfall of a hero in classical tragedy

[Late 19th century. From Greek.]

hu·bris·tic [hyoo brístik ] adjective
hu·bris·tic·al·ly [hyoo brístiklee ] adverb

Can he mean me?

Some interesting comments:
And that caps a remarkable day for India, wicket less
Laxman going on and on and on, Dravid keeping him good company
The 3rd time India have gone through a day without losing a wicket,
first being Mankad & Roy at Chennai 1955/56 and the second being
Yashpal Sharma & GR Vishwanath v England in 81/82 also at Chennai
Laxman on 334 runs in the test, Gavaskar has 344 with 124 & 220
made in his first series in 1970/71 against WI in WI
Laxman & Dravid will, in all likeliness, be on the field on all 5
days of the test
315 runs ahead, 90 overs to be bowled tomorrow. This has been a
comeback of the highest order from India
A complete turn around thanks to VVS Laxman & R Dravid. Laxman
passing a long standing record of 236* by Sunil Gavaskar for the
highest individual score by an Indian batsman
In the process he also passed Rohan Kanhai's 256 for the highest
test score in India
This partnership of 357 runs is India's best partnership for the
5th wicket
VVS Laxman now has to go past Lara 277, Foster 287 & Hutton 364 for
the highest individual test scores against Australia
He is also 25 runs short of being the first triple centurion in
tests for India
There are 23 people ahead of him in the list of highest individual
test scores, level with Cullinan & Gary Kirsten
VVS Laxman also looking to add to his tally of first class triple
hundreds, 2 in all now

Hey Donut, I checked out the stats, we did well in the 1st innings, had them on the ropes, made India follow on, and then kathwup - A wicketless fourth day. Looks like this is a draw dammit.

AAARRRRGG THE END OF THE WINNING STREAK! NO MORE RECORD!!!!???? AAARGGG!

Hmmm.. Donut my friend just dropped in to respond to your line in the "Drop in and take a load off", thread. I my friend was starkly aware of your absense. I seemed to recall your mentioning that you were going out of town for matches in the thread where you Mem and Yorick were discussing them (perhaps I misread it), and yes you were missed. A keg of Faerun's finest ale for you my friend!

Thanks Relic. Fortunately going to a match on this island can usually be achieved in a day. The match I went to was close by, it was just the drinking afterwards that takes the time. Thanks for the beer.

p.s did you follow any of this cricket stuff?

Alas my friend, when I was a youth, I never had any affiliation with things beyond North America so I never gained an appreciation for that fine sport.
