No offense meant Vlad. The story was in The Times newspaper this morning.

BTW Denmark would have to meet Brazil in the next round. So are you saying Brazil won't win the cup?

Of the top five FIFA ranked teams in the world
1 ■France
2 ■Brazil
2 ■Argentina
4 ■Colombia
5 ■Portugal

Only one is left competing.

Three just out, one didn't even make the finals

Talk about topsy-turvy!

Well you get your wish Lanthir, a date in the second round with your southern neighbours (courtesy of 2 lots of South Korean woodwork). All the best for the 2nd round.

Donut, you mentioned something about the group of life

Well, hasn't this been a World Cup for the minnows.

Portugal deserved to lose that game - their discipline was appalling. That tackle by Joao Pinto was a clear red, right in front of the referee as well. Very rash and with the studs showing. And Beto - the guy had one yellow already and his second tackle also deserved a yellow - when they needed cool heads there were none to be found. They had their chances to draw but Gomes looked to panic when gifted with an open goal and a flatfooted keeper. Conceicao's attempt which missed the bar was a tougher effort but luck was not with them tonight.

That Korean goal was a gem.

My tipping sheet is an absolute nightmare - only consolation is that everyone else in the office is doing worse!!

Here's an interesting article on some possible reasons why the Argies and the Frogs crashed out.

Looks like the best strategy memsie is to tip against the white shorts (Aussie Rules analogy) .
