seems like Spain is scoring at will, only their defense doesn't look good from time to time.

I suppose they follow the common rule of offensive-minded teams. If they score once against me, I will score twice against them!

Which is good for us fans, because nobody likes to watch defensive football... ...

Sup folks, since we are talking about the teams that may win the cup I would like to say that i believe in Denmark they will make a wonderfull game with England i wouldnt put my money in this match however, i mean that kid Owen, god he is crazy or what?? i mean the guy is the nightmare of all the defences in this cup, and about Italy I dont think their defensive attitude will help against teams like Sweden and Denmark again, by now u probably know that i believe Denmark is going to get this cup, Germany: that Klose dude is a danger but i dont think the actual scratch can make it to the final but I think they'll reach the semi-finals.. who else, hmm, Oh Senegal, of course, wut can I say about Senegal... GO SENEGAL, lol i mean i would like if they win the cup... Brazil, hm dunno i'm starting to think that Big Phil has a lethal brain damage, I simply cannot understand his last changes in the Scratch, i mean he is going for a 4-4-2 against Costa Rica, let's see wut happens...

P.S. i feel sorry for Zidane, I mean it's not every day that u see an injured player actually playing more that those that arent injured, Zidane is the only player in France who deserved to be in the next stage... and about Argentina, don't know wut to say, guess i can wait more from Sweden

By the way: GO BRAZIL GO BRAZIL!!!!

Another group is finished

Last round
Spain 3 - Soth Africa 2
Paraguay 3 - Slovenia 1

Spain.............9-4....9
Paraguay........6-6....4
South Africa....5-5....4
Slovenia.........2-7....0

You have give Paraguay credit. They were down to 10 men and behind 0-1, and still they managed to score three times and progress.

I don't know about Italy.
Their defense isn't as good as they want us to think.
Maldini and Nesta aren't having the best of periods right now.
It will be a tough match against Mexico.
If Italy wins and Croatia wins there will be 3 teams with 6 points!

Yes I recognize paraguay has nice sracth too, but i cant make a fair analysis agains Slovenia, I mean they are awfully bad, Slovenia and China would be a nice match to see if u really got a strong stomach, but i agree Paraguay has a few nice players ( Arce Gamarra Santa Cruz) that can be pretty decisive when they need to.. by the way in my last post i forgot to mention Spain and Portugal, if Spain believes they can make to the final, they have the team for it, they can be a hard oppoenent but without the plus of the "FURIA" they wont get to the quarter-finals, Portugal, that Rui Costa and Capucho are excellent players but Portugal's defence is a lil weak, oh, i haven't seen Figo yet, i mean he plays much much muuuuuch more in Real Madrid let's see if he can keep his good form in the Cup as well in the Spanish cup

I'd say the smart money would be on Croatia to beat Ecuador - but stranger things have happened. Likewise Italy should beat Mexico - one poor clearance which resulted in a goal doesn't mean that their defense is poor. Cannavaro's still one of the best defenders in the world, and the Italian league is the most defensively-oriented in the world. If any team has the character to go through and play a defensive game to progress, it's Italy.

Is Suker playing?? i haven't seen any of Croatia matches so far...
And about Italy i agree they have the best defence in the Cup but their midfield is a lack of support to the defenders and sometimes even for the attackers, however they have some nice passing.
I agree with Memnoch, Croatia is going for Ecuador, and Mexico and Italy will be a gooood match cuz Mexico need to win and Italy has that defensive-counterattack play that is so cool to watch.

EDIT: want to see if my old sig is working ok.

Vlad Italy needs to win while Mexico can easilly afford a draw and secure the next round.
So Italy cannot play their defensive "football" from early on.They have to score first!
