I've had Minsc in my group since day 1. Added Keldorn for a time and liked the results, but swapped him for Valygar for the Planar Sphere. Now I'm wondering which 2 to keep. My main character is a sorcerer and the two keepers would be my primary tanks.

Minsc: uses Lilacor (talking 2-handed sword) most of the time. Sometimes give him Mace of Disruption and Daystar sword to dual wield.

Keldorn: use Carsomyr (Holy Avenger)

Valygar: now dual wielding with Celestial Fury - very impressed with the results.

My original plan was to drop Valygar and re-add Keldorn, but Valygar has been so impressive with Celestial Fury that I'm rethinking this.

Rest of my party: Me (14th lvl Sorcerer), Anomen (13th lvl Cleric), Jaheira (12th/12th level Fighter/Druid), Jan (11th/12th level Illusionist/Thief)

Any thoughts out there?

I should add that I'm just about to start chapter 3. Minsc is 12th level, Keldorn and Valygar are 11th.

Minsc wielding the (Improved) Mace of Disruption is the ultimate Undead Killer. And I like the Celestial Fury very much because of stunning effects. I would choose Minsc and Valgyar.
Personally I don't like twohanded swords, they are deadly but clumsy.

I'd go for Minsc and Keldorn, but that's primarily because I'm enamoured of Keldorn's abilities (dispel at twice his level, true sight etc.) as well as his fighting skills. The CF is an amazing weapon, but the dispel on hit from Carsomyr can't be discounted.

I'd normally put CF on my main character or thief (in a multi game).

If you like Keldorn, lose Valygar and give Keldorn the
katana. I'm assuming he's wielding the daystar w/o any
proficiency slots in longsword, so he would have the same
disadvantages as wielding Celestial Fury. Then again he
would still get the stun benefits. Later on you can add
in the proficiencies in katana.

I personally like Valygar better. He already has the slots
available to him and he's not a bad fighter. Keldorn is
a little weak on the saving throw department. He always
ended up dying before most of the other fighters I had in
my party.

I like Keldorn with the holy sword
because he is great against liches and
those pesky wizards with all their
protections, and he's got True seeing
and dispel magic (twice his level).

Humm... It's a hard desicion but i'd go with Keldorn. Hi har low dexterity but give him a pair of dexterity gaunlets and he'll be fine!

------------------
"No!" shreiked Tyrion. Though the sword felt heavy as a fallen tree he lifted it. He saw the deamon look up, astonished. He brought down the blade with the awesome majestic power of a falling thunderbolt. The burning blade caught the deamon right in the centre of its forehead. The deamon's head fell apart under the force of the impact. The deamon N'kari sank to its knees, dead.

-Tyrion at the battle of the Blighted Isle.
Right now he is mourning for USA.

I'd go with Keldorn. You already have a good ranger, and Keldorn's skills are much more useful.
