Whenever I want to install a program which uses installshield I get this error message. I think my installshield program is buggered.

Any ideas?

Looks like the error you'd get with a bad disc...I might be wrong, though...Probably either a bad disc or your disc drive needs cleaned. In my experience, those errors mean the computer has trouble reading or writing from a particular address, in this case, probably the disc.

Who knows, maybe you should pay LucasArts $11.0.0.28844 and they will fix it for you

I agree with Ilander Or it could be your ROM drive is going and thus installshield can't read what it needs. I certainly had this problem with my CD-ROM drive a few months back. I thought it was the games I had when it really was the need for a new drive.

But because you can't tell at this point it could be a software issue. I think I just made this as clear as mud.

Copy the contents of the CD on to the hard drive and see if you can instal from there!
