I can´t get it to work! I´ve tried running it normal and in compatibility mode. But I don´t think it´s a windows issue. The game starts, then fails to read the CD and crashes to my desktop! I´m thinking I might need a new CD. That would mean buying the new collection although I´m already in possession of all 3 games. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hya! Have you tried to reinstall the game? and maby also try to clean the cd disk and clean the cd players laser sensor? you can get those cleaning things in computer shops.
Ps also cd repair kits are available in the same place!

Edit: And have you tried it in win 98, ME or XP?

My CD-ROM work sjust fine. It´s only the fallout CD that gives me trouble. I´ve tried it on the hubby´s computer and it starts but is extremely choppy! He´s running winxp on his. Looks like a bad CD. Ah well.

I think Fallout 1 does not have any copy protection, you just need to do a full installation and the game will run without the CD. I think the full installation takes up about 700 MB to 1 GB or space.

Or you could just get another blank CD to clone the original copy that you are having.

The hubby tried copying the CD to the harddrive but it wouldn´t work. So the CD is probably destroyed. Ah well at least Fallout 2 is installed to comfort me

Yeah, I guess the disc is done for. At least you still have Fallout 2...
