Oh man, I am sorry for your loss. I am listening to Drizzt in the background right now tearing up something or another, and am even more sorry for your loss...
Lady Aberdene gives her condolences as well.
Take care Chewy.

Sorry to hear that, Chewie. I mourned over my dog for quite a while, but now keep a picture of her by my desk and remember the good times.

I'm so sorry, Chewie. What a lovely tribute to her - I'm glad you have so many happy memories of such a good friend, and sorry that you will not be able to make any more.

You have my sympathies, Chewie. It's not easy at any time, and it's not easy when they should have so much more life ahead of them.

Peace and comfort to you and yours.

*hugs* to you and your wife, Scott.

I am sorry you did not have more time, but you loved her well and she, you. Her memory will forever be in your heart and she will always be with you as my kitties who have passed on are always with me.

Another idea is to make a collage of pictures of her to put on the wall. It's kind of cathartic and keeps good memories close to hand when you really get to missing her.

*another hug* and now off to hug all of mine (if I can find them all )

*sniffle* So sorry, Chewie...it's never easy to lose a beloved kitty. My cat mailing list friends always wish the departed kitty a good journey to the Rainbow Bridge. It's our way of saying goodbye and I wish your Twila a good journey.

Maybe you can find some solace here- one of the several versions of the poem is there and it's just one of many places on the net where people who love their pets and grieve their loss can find others who understand.

I've said goodbye to several kitties over the years and each one was as hard as the last to see go...but I did what you plan to do. I waited a bit then adopted another who needed a home, in honor of the promise made to my first- to always provide a good home for a needy cat- my way of thanking my first for showing me how wonderful sharing your time with a cat can be.

cats are just a short time on earth, then they return to the heavens to wait for theyre master to help him through the gates of heaven.
