Looking Around What causes you the most stress?

..whether work, family daily life etc.

Mine is one aspect of my job. Once a week my manager will listen to one of my calls and evaluate me on it. I usually do just fine, but it's a huge point of stress. A little notice comes up in the bottom right of my screen. If anything makes my heart race, it's that.
It haunts my waking hours.

Again though, I usually do well with the quality of the call. In fact, I do so well that I almost always get an extra 25% to 50% commission from it.

What does everyone else stress about?

Uni work. Exams. Social situations.
Basically, most of my life where I'm not by myself, people I know, in lectures or just wandering around.

Funny question, that. Been giving more thought to it than usual lately. I'd say work's number one up there.

Too easy! Explaining to the spousal unit 'WHY' the basement has yet to be completed, and 'WHY' there is another $24.99 charge for "Travian Games Germany" on the cc. Speaking of which, I've got 15K Imperians on the march supported by 2K EI, and 1500 ECs.

I love my job, but certain aspects of it are extremely stressful of late... We've had labor cut, so we have fewer people doing more work... And then there's the customers... My goodness, how I would love to yell at the customers. Not all of them, you see. I love most of them. But some of them really have it coming.

Home life is not that much better. I live in a tiny apartment with a woman I despise. So, that's fun too.

In the old age I have attained I have been granted the wisdom to realize, that what causes me stress is....ME. The outside influences are all just excuses and that *I* am the master of only one thing....ME! Some times Im good at blowing things off and accepting that I can only do what I can do, other times I let it stress me, but ultimately, if I am stressed, it is because I am not handling things properly.

I have all the same excuses as everyone else posted (well I dont live with a woman I despise...I rather like her  but life, work, school, kids
money, Job, Morons at Job...I have all of them. You just need to learn to not let them dictate how you feel. My

"What does everyone else stress about?"

Right now money's the biggest issue. I dug myself in pretty deep with credit card debt a few years ago, and I'm trying to get that paid off. My work cut our hours in January and with the decreased income I'll need a 2nd job to make more than the minimum payments.

Utter true wisdom from MagiK... too true!

VR, I went through that a few years ago. It is possible to get through the mess... lemme know if you want thoughts on it. I found my own method for doing so which is very similar to Dave Ramsey's.

I've decided that method #2 for dealing with stress is going to be working out, and I'm going to do that shortly. Method #1? Remembering MagiK's point... it's me and how much control I give *them* over my life.

Working out is on my list too.
A 2 mile walk with the dog and semi-regular work with dumbbells.
While I am talking to dumbbells on the phone.
