... and I'm feelin' geeky

I just upgraded the "brain" in my electronic drum kit to a Roland TD-6.

It's not the top of the line, but a step up... and something I can justify to my beloved. Well, almost...

This may not mean a lot to many of the folks on here, but it's one word to me... FUN! It has five times the available drum kits than the old brain, 170 songs built-in to play along with, over 1,000 drum and percussion sounds to use... and stuff I haven't figured out yet!

It's really as exciting as a new game, folks! I'm spending quality time with the manual and with just playing around to see what it does....

Figured I'd share... I'll be spending lots of my spare time with it, I think...

Hmph

I need to find myself a drum kit. Going crazy... it's been four months without touching a kit!

Hey, gratz Bungleau.

I know exactly how you feel. New musical toys are just as good as a new game...maybe better. Of course, more often than not, they're at least 5x as expensive. I just today purchased a bass head and cabinet (300W Warwick and a suitable Ampeg cabinet) in order to play with my drummer and not be drowned out. I've now got more weight in my amp/cabinet than I do...in me lol. I'm sure I've inadvertantly told the neighbors about it already.

Cool toy...My neighbors may not like my Roland ST90 much on some days...But hey, it's tons of fun when I can actually stand to turn it on. Migraines intefere with loud music enjoyment, a lot of the time.
