The Longsword +2: Confusion was never much use to me before...but I now think that it may be one of the greatest items you can have in Dragon's Eye (until you can get your hands on a Flaming Longsword +2.) Since I normally just use a fire spell on trolls once they're lying down, feigning death, I was pleasantly surprised to find that trolls don't do this when they're confused! Every time I hit a troll and confused it, it would just take my blows until it died, rather than falling "dead."

It doesn't replace fire or acid damage, but it's a great way to wear down that regenerative power trolls have.

Question Mark

Confusion disrupts the script that runs the trolls; this prevents them from switching from an active troll that fights to the nearly-invulnerable troll that does nothing.

A wonderful new tactic, nonetheless! Another wonderful use of the confusion/chaos spells.

I found that if I used a phasing weapon that also made the trolls take damage whilst they were lying down "regenerating".

Phase weapons are considered 'Poison' weapons.
