Woke up in the middle of last night after having a dream I couldn't understand and remembered something about frequenting some forum many many years ago, but couldn't really put my finger on why or what forum it was.
I had visions of a big castle (something to do with a boy made of dough?), a café but not a real one and talk of orangutans. I was overwhelmed with a disturbing image of a blinking cat. I vaguely recollected roleplaying and general silliness and people with kilts. Of course nothing of this made any sense and so I decided to dismiss the dream as a figment of my distorted imagination. Then as I once again tried to sleep it came to me! Steelworks! No, that wasn't it...copparworks? Aluminiumworks? Of course not. Ironworks. Good old Ironworks, a friend when you most needed one! No, that wasn't right, it was more like an old grandfather that couldn't really hear that good and smelled of porridge, but a dear friend never the less. At this point I accepted the fact that sleep was out of the question this night and instead took a stroll down memory lane, the stroll ended in the question; is it still the same? Does anybody remeber me or am I going to have to talk to new people (oh the horror )? And most important of all; is Ironworks still as silly as it used to be? Well, only one way to find out! [ 03-07-2006, 04:16 AM: Message edited by: Sir ReGiN ]

Heh, another IW veteran returns. Welcome back!
What's your excuse for being away for so long?

Is it different? That depends on how long you've been gone. I had a two year hiatus and came back about 9 months ago. It's changed so far as there's less traffic - ergo people actually read whatever it is you have to say. Can only be a good thing IMO. IW ain't the deaf old fart you may remember it to be...

Congratulations for finding your way home, Sir ReGiN.
How cold is it out there in Outer Darkness? Don't answer that. We have children here and you shouldn't scare them.

Wow, it's funny, because just prior to my return after my hiatus, I had a similar dream. But being that admitting crazy stuff in private/public is kinda wierd, I never would have admitted it. Welcome back.

Hey Sir Regin, great to see you back, the general silliness is still here, but the RP forum seems to have calmed down mostly.
