Fable 2: Gargoyle's
2 things:
1)The gargoyle in the bowerstone market carriage house is a real pain to hit. At some point is there a way to get past the carriage? 2)The gargoyle in Fairfax gardens way high up on the front window of the manor/castle. Any tips on how to hit that? Currently working with a steel clockwork rifle, but no matter where I aim I can't seem to hit it. This includes directly at it, and varying degrees around it. Do I need something with longer range or is it luck of the draw?

Re: Fable 2: Gargoyle's
Figured it out. Apparently the carriage moves later in the storyline. and I just needed a rifle with longer range to hit the second one.
Now for the greatest mystery of all, how do you keep the citizens out of your house?

Re: Fable 2: Gargoyle's
The Carriage MOVES? BAH. I spent at least 30 minutes until I nailed it through the crack between the carriage and the wall.

Re: Fable 2: Gargoyle's
Well that's what I've read anyway. I guess after some major event. And I hit it the same way as you. It was a major pain. As is opening the demon door in brightwood. And opening the demon door in westclif (if you tend to avoid the vices)
Add: Running into a similar situation to what I encountered in the first Fable. I'm a little over halfway through the game (I think. this is my first time through) and nothing can touch me. I'm majoring in melee, with a speed back-up and just enough range skill to hit the gargoyles. and Magick is just something there for kicks. Got a Master katana with ghoul and lucky charm augments. Ranged is with master turret rifle an augment that nets me cash per kill not sure what the other augment is. But yeah, pretty much nothing can hurt me at this point. Makes me wish they put in a difficulty level adjustment.

Okay, new question, how do you beat round 8 of the crucible in under 1:50 without bringing a friend?

Re: Fable 2: Gargoyle's
It would be really really hard. My brother had to help me.

Re: Fable 2: Gargoyle's
talked to a friend of mine last week, he suggested I use a decent level Blade spell. I'm guessing area effect, cuz you summon a set number of blades and they all target independently. Sucks that the time control spell doesn't help. It slows the timer that you can see, but the actual time goes full speed.
Other question. Is the prize for beating the crucible with all perfect times worth it? Or just a little something for the completionist? other other question- I've been eyeballing the dlc. I think it was the See the Future one my friend told me lets you get your dog back even if you don't choose that option at the end of the story. Is that still possible with the free download or does it just give you that handful of free crappy items from Murgo?

Re: Fable 2: Gargoyle's
From a purely DPS standpoint, the Blades spell is the worst AoE you can get. It's the single strongest single target spell, but for AoE take Inferno, or if you can level it up enough, shock, since it also stuns targets, giving you some breathing room.
Incidentally, the main purpose of slow time is when the nerve tendrils appear- you slow time, and shoot as many as you can. It's a pity it won't slow the clock, but that'd probably make it too easy, no? |
