Where Canada is today
I'm not sure if anyone cares, but here are the election results from last night:
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canadavotes/ It's a slightly stronger Conservative gov't. I'm quite happy with that. I think they've done much better than the liberals when they were in power. Could one of the mods correct my spelling of "Canada" as well?

Re: Where Canda is today
Interesting. So more of the same, really... given the way the CAD has appreciated in the past couple of years, that's gotta be good.
On a side note, when did they change "Northwest Territories" to "Western Arctic"? I remember the split with Nunavut, but WA seems to have escaped me.

The only "mod" thing I've done in a while. You know it's strange. Canadian government is the only government that I hear nothing about anywhere. I think we're educated more on Antartica government than what the Canadians are going through. Or maybe it's just not reaching North Carolina.

Re: Where Canada is today
Thanks for the fix Larry!
I think you make a good point. And I think you don't hear much, 'cause were ding pretty well. Less scandals and general BS I think. Quote:

Re: Where Canada is today
Yes, but there a lot of people out there who wanted to go back to Liberal. They've made such a mess of the last 4 decades. People forget too easily...
A minority gov't like this is usually our best scenario.

Re: Where Canada is today
Really? It is the the reverse in the states according to public opinion. Is this the general consensus in Canada?

Re: Where Canada is today
I believe so, that's what the economists say. That way, they can't just pass whatever they want. The opposition will out-vote the bill.
I think it helps to keep the party in power in check.
