Or you could press H at any time to get an estimate on how much honor you will earn at rollover time.

Dinged 42 now, got my mount at 40, grinding towards 50. Question: is a 1.9 sword too slow for my offhand? This is what I have right now: Knightly Longsword of the Monkey - gives me +4 agility and stamina and is 1.5 speed but is only L33. I am thinking that I should upgrade to this: Ebon Scimitar of the Monkey which is +5 agility/stamina and is L38 but it has a speed of 1.9.

Will I be gimped using a 1.9 offhand weapon?

Speed doesn't really matter as such, since one-handed swords will always be reasonably fast anyway. It's not like you're using a massive axe with a 3.5 rating - that wouldn't be good. For rogues I think it's more important to balance the DPS and stat bonuses. If those two are decent for your level, then you're fine. I will say though that I really think you should be using daggers. Not only are they the fastest weapons, but they will also allow you to use abilities like mutilate and ambush, both being huge damage dealers. I've critted unbelievable amounts through ambush.

Speed matters for a combat sword rogue. The faster your off hand is, the more combat potency you can proc, the more dps you can deal. Which is why Blizzard is nerfing combat sword rogue. They just frankly outdamage all other rogue build.

The best speed for off hand sword is 1.4
1.5 and 1.6 is still okay.
1.8 is so so but not advisable.
More than that, vendor them.

My advice? Just hang onto that Knightly Sword. Once you are level 50. Go AH and buy this Hanzo Sword. This sword will probably last you until lv64~65.

Kakero, can you tell me if this is the most efficient build for my level?

You are doing fine. Start putting points on Relentless Strike, Sword Specialization and Adreneline Rush.

Is Sword Specialisation worth it? It only gives 1% chance per talent point. I was thinking Aggression and Blade Expertise for those 5 TPs.

It's worth it. The 5% chance at 5 point may seem not much. But once you have a fast off hand sword and a high hit rating. It'll proc every now and often. Slice and Dice also helps. Just check your combat log.

Btw, you're not a combat sword rogue if you do not put points into sword specialization. The people at the wow forum will have a big laugh at you if you call yourself a combat sword rogue but did not put any points into sword specialization.

What about my armour? Am I suitably specced for my level? (not twinked, suitably specced.)

Your spec is fine, armour is good. Don't worry, you are still in leveling stage.
