I must have missed a clue or something to get the right coloured flame combination to open up the door in the Lum The Mad section of the Keep. Does anyone know how to open the door to get the hammer? 3 paint colours and 6 flames to light, what's the combo?

Welcome to Ironworks, Wolvers!

Adjoining the main room - the one with Lum's machine in it - there should be two small 'halls' with three coloured plates on the floor. Note carefully the colours of the plates, and the order they come in - THAT's the clue you'll need.

Thank You!!! I was about to pull my hair out over that one. Course, now that I think about it... DUH. But I kept thinking I was missing something on one of the corpses or there was a glitch. I even tried hopelessly to kill that dragon, thinking he was holding out on me. Incidently, you can pick his pockets. I did find that a bit amusing.

Welcome Nicodemus to Ironworks and to the club of people who had the same problem with the flames.
I know I was one of them too

Yes, the colored flames in ToB are the equivalent of the door-opening switch from IWD. Both are very maddening.

Actually, the flame thing with the oils didnt really stump me....the colored tiles on the floors of the level struck me as way too significant...nothing subtle at all about that hint. What really frustrated me was the maze on the level above...I stumbled around in that place like an idiot for like 24 hours before I figured that one out. I was ready to use my TOB disk as a drink coaster at that point.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I finally ended up making notes on my map, labeling where each portal went and color coding the markers for wild and dead magic zones, and the way back out. It seems like it might be more trouble than it's worth, but in the end it made it MUCH easier.

Hi Nicodemus - welcome

I also made the map on lvl 3 - just to keep myself from walking in circels - It also help in future games

I also had the trouble with the fires - until I looked at the overview map (I was looking for an exit I had missed) and there the answer was.
