Thumbs Up Thor and Cap - Marvel movies incoming this year

While I was looking forward to Captain America most of all, I am pleasantly surprised by the Thor trailer. Call me crazy but it actually looks better than Cap right now (although I note the Thor trailer is much longer since release is closer, so we don't get to see much of Cappy). But yeah, optimistic about both now. So glad they based Cap in his respectful timeframe rather than updating him for the present-day. Woulda been a mess.
What say ye?

Cap.

I'm looking forward to Thor more. Not sure that they'll be able to do things decently with Cap.

Thor looks good just hope they don't ruin them like they did with the X-men and Fantastic 4!
I do think Hugo Weaving was a good choice for the Red Skull. Also looking forward to seeing Anthony Hopkins as well!

Henry Cavill just signed on as the latest Superman as well. I actually really liked the last actor.

I didn't. I think he was too one-dimensional and she barely spoke as Superman. I actually wouldn't mind the actor who plays Clark in Smallville to take it on. Tom something or other. He grew into the mantle imo, but I know it will never happen.

Henry Cavill looks far too rugged for the part, but I imagine they will clean him up and dye his hair black. He may do well, who knows?

Tom Welling; yes, I think he'd have been a good choice!

I wonder why they didn't pick him. Didn't Christopher Reeve even appear in Smallville?

Yep, and apparently was fully in support of Tom playing Superman in the movie, citing his seasons of experience, both past and present, with the character in Smallville, placing him above anyone else in terms of familiarity and skill within the role. Alas, it didn't happen with Superman Returns, and now that Reeve is gone I fear that idea is too.
