They regenerate so you have hit them with a combined attack, such as 3 fighters wacking. Hopefully it wont be able to regenerate quickly enough and will die

Welcome to the board
They really not hard to kill, usually just make sure your fighters are in its face pounding it, try to have some protection spells cast on them to. Greater werewolves regenerate hitpoints so you have to be non-stop attacking them. They have magic resistance however so spells are not that good against them (When your level is not that high that is) hope this helps..

things which hit with multiple attacks such as magic missile are useful seeing as at least a ocuple of the missiles get through. try to use weapons which cause a lot of damage in one hit or try backstab if you have a thief.
