I have been a rabid ZOID collector for a long time now, and after more than a decade, an animation series has hit the shores here. So far it looks promising, but I am not pleased that the network decided to skip the first three episodes... oh well, guess I will have to buy the DVDs... ...
So, who else here collects ZOIDS? |

Not a bad show, but it never really struck my fancy. :\
I've always been more of a Bebop fan. I haven't even seen that many zoid episodes, maybe I should start watching it more, I may get to like it alot. Who knows?

One of the pitfalls of having an animation series is that I can no longer fantasise about the world that my ZOIDS are supposed to live in. On the other hand, it rocks that the toyline has finally an animation series of its own.
Some names have been changed( mainly the faction Zenabas to Guylos), but most of the lore have remained intact. They chose to focus after the major Helic vs Guylos conflict though, so there is a chance they might make a prequel. Oooo, and I so want to lay my hands on the new models! You know how hard it was to get an original ZOID in a box before 1999? Darn things were selling for hundreds. Now that TOMY has re-released a new batch of ZOIDS, I am over the moon, because I can finally try to complete my collection( got about two cupboards worth, and counting). |
