Default Software woes

Or so I guess. Here's the deal:
I'm wanting to play KOTOR 1 on my new laptop, that has windows vista. I installed it, started it up and got a weird error message. Pressed ok and i was able to play. After that first time, however, I've been unable to get the game to run. The message I get, now, is "Conflict with Disc Emulator Software detected. See www.securom.com/emulation for more details"

I'm really confused, because I don't know of any emulators on this computer, or anything of that ilk.
Oh, and I have the play disc in the drive, so I'm not sure what is causing the "emulator" thing at all.
Any ideas?

Sometimes just having a dvd burner program can cause that. Just get a no cd fix and it should work.

Securom is known to have actually destroyed CD/DVD Rom drives. It can be nasty on certain, but not all, PCs, etc. And this happens whether or not you run Vista or XP.
