Congratulations, Moridin, and best wishes to you. I know that is a VERY difficult undertaking, quitting smoking. If you start getting the jitters, come here and post instead!

Cheers,

Thanks Saz!

Went to the doc and suprisignly he put me on the patch and ziban...I think it is either or

Of course I am a bit confused b/c ziban is an anti-depressant and the patch instructions say do not take if on depressant medication...of course the doc said it was ok, but why would they put that in the instructions then?

And of course the immortal quote: It's easy to quit smoking, I've done it a thousand times

OK!!! *sends vibes of encouragement to Moridin*

I quit on 12/28/98!!! Only had a couple of drags after that date and it tasted HORRIBLE! Still smelled good to me for a while, but 'blech' - the taste! After the first few weeks, it really should get easier. I didn't use a patch or any prescriptions and I did OK. Like Saz said - if you feel the need, post instead! Also, drink lots of water to flush out your system quicker and chew gum!

Good luck, sweetie!
