Someone forwarded this list to me via email about a month ago. They left ALL the forward headers, and the little "..." & "<<" in the body of the message...

If the package has marked on it Proctor & Gamble & Co. Cincinnati,OH then yup.

I grew up just 25 miles northeast of Cinci...lots of satanic cults in and around the area. Seems to be a popular past-time for ignorant inbreds LOL

I gave some to relatives, friends and work colleagues, as the recipe makes enough mix for hundreds of cookies! I had boxes full of cookies, and they were wonderful! I recommend the recipe, hoax or not.

Damn! I have recieved and trashed that recipe so many times!!!

Speaking for ignorant inbreds everywhere, I take offence to that...

I recommend it, but if you don't have a really large mixing bowl, only make a quarter of the recipe. This will still give you about 30 cookies!

Here is the recipe:

2 cups butter
4 cups flour
2 tsp. soda
2 cups sugar
5 cups blended oatmeal**
24 oz. chocolate chips
2 cups brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 8 oz. Hershey Bar (grated)
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
3 cups chopped nuts (your choice)
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream the butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and soda. Add chocolate chips, Hershey Bar and nuts. Roll into balls and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes 112 cookies.

** measure oatmeal and blend in a blender to a fine powder.

a Milk Chocolate bar made in Hershey, PA, by the Hershey Corp. It's actually very good, for a "Corp Chain" chocolate bar..

or, as we in TX say: Poor Man's Godiva's...

Hm, yes, we need the recipe translated to metric for the non-statesides...

There's 16 ounces to a pound, and 2.2 pounds to a kilo...mmmmm...lessee....that comes out to...35.2 ounces per kilo.

Please don't ask for metric translations of tsp and Tsp though...I haven't the slightest idea!
