Bane! The +1 to saves and their extra bonus from a quest makes them the best. And it's fun to play with a master of enchantment spells.
Otherwise the Talos and Lathander priests has the best offensive spells.

I like Lathander, Bane, and Talos. All three have nice domain spells, and Bane has that other nice trait.

I think that one of the other things that differentiates the domains is the value of the non-domain spell, special abilities that each class gets. Some are definitely better than others.

For example, Mask's skill bonuses are nearly useless, since the IWD2 engine doesn't recognize skill costs differentiated by domain. If it did, clerics of Mask should be able to get thieving skills as in-class skills. But since the engine doesn't, those SP bonuses are practically wasted.

Also, from what little I've been able to determine, Mask clerics should be limited to light armor, like thieves. But since they cannot get the thieving skills as in-class skills, it would be rather hurtful to also limit their armor choice.

OTOH, Tempus' special abilities (2 points in Axe, and a STR enhancing ability) are solid and always useful. Which is one reason why Tempus is always a very easy choice to make.

I think Talos just has to be the coolest. Whatever appeal bane may have he isn't quite so electrifying

@Magness
When you choose a cleric you only see their extra abilities, not their domain spell. That's the reason why so many chooses tempus. I chose tempus in my first 2 parties. It was only when I came across a domain spell list that I started using other domains.
