He's in too many books, in my opinion.. Way too cliched.. Just look for any book with him on the cover, and odds are he'll be *in* the book, too.
Seriously.. Just find the FR books at the fantasy section at your local bookstore and start reading back covers.. You'll find one sooner or later.

All though at the end of the day its down to what YOU like reading, As Illumina has shown above Drizzt isn't everyones cup of tea, many people think that Drizzt has been going too long and should be put out to rest, but not me, as long as Salvatore keeps writting him, I'll keep reading him. |

I completely agree, R.A. salvatore is a extraordinary writer, although i haven't had a chance to pick up the legacy of the drow or the paths of darkness i loved the ones before that (except sojourn) i dunno why hehe

I'll have to see if he's as good as Wies and Hickman. Thats a pretty tall order. Only read the dragonlance books written by them. The others have just been a dissapointment. 'Dragons of summer flame' has to be one of the best. Get that then you'll want to read the rest to find out about the characters.

Yeah...based on his 2nd edition stats, Drizzt is a completely illegal character (he dualed- which he can't, he's a drow, he's got a lower 2nd class level than first, but still can use both...yeah....) but he's a great character with some great books
