Blizz have stated they have serious issues with the servers.
Unlike previous WoWs, all attunments have been removed. That means any nib can go into a raid. The server load is immense, and its causing a lot of people a lot of problems. Blizz have acknowledged this, and have said they are fixing it. Maybe tahts your problem.

Your computer may not be your particular problem here, but it is a problem.
I run an AMD Athalon 64 X2 dual core chip and an Nvidia GeForce 7950. I have always played with at least 2 gigs of RAM, and I recently went up to 3.5 Gigs. The graphics loads are more intense with WotLK than ever before. With my setup I'll still dip down to 12 fps sometimes during a raid.
