Well, today was fun... NOT!

The Server got hit by the Nimda virus.. totally filled the hard drive with .eml files and crap.. yet ANOTHER Microsoft backdoor found.. GRRRRR..

EVERYONE that uses Internet Explorer 5.01 or below NEEDS to upgrade to IE 6.0 or to install IE 5.5 Service Pack 2.

If YOU Have this virus, see www.norton.com for a cleaner, and also check MS's site for the patches/updates:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/tre...pics/Nimda.asp

Glad to be back!

hoorah! now i can regain my sanity by posting compulsively at IronWorks again!

It's simple. Once the Planet is hurt, it gathers Spirit Energy to heal the injury. The amount of energy gathered depends on the size of the injury...What would happen if there was an injury that threatened the very life of the Planet? Think how much energy would be gathered! Ha, ha, ha. And at the center of that injury, wil be me. All that boundless energy will be mine. By merging with the energy of the Planet, I will be come a new life form, a new existence. Melding with the Planet, I will cease to exist as I am now. Only to be reborn as a 'God' to rule over every living soul.

Glad to see us back! Wow, what a mess! And all that work just because some bored hacker someplace felt like damaging people's systems! grrr!

I upgraded my IE to 6.0 yesterday. MH got hit by the nimda virus too, so I got a warning early on! Figure that was what had IW down today, Z!

Welcome back, everyone!!

Was the virus in the read me file we were prompted to download while the site gave the cgi error message? When I tried to get on the other day I downloaded that file and tonight found I had the virus. If that is the case many of us could have it and not know it.

It seems that you are right, Sageridder. The virus WAS in the file.

Great job, Ziroc. My husband's company got the virus on one of its server too, two days ago, and it took all day to them to remove the nasty thing.
