NPCs in BG2

where is a good place to get a list of the NPCs in the game. I havent played BG2 but i did play BG and im about to start playing so i kinda want to get a party planned out. another question is kivan in BG2 he was so cool.

Unfortunately, Kivan doesn't return in BG2 though you can encounter a couple of the other NPCs from BG1.

All of the NPCs that can be encountered and recruited throughout the game are listed in the manual (what you see, you get), but here's a complete list anyway.

Aerie (LG Mage/Cleric)
Korgan (CE Fighter)
Valygar (NG Stalker)
Anomen (LN Dual Class Fighter/Cleric)
Cernd (N Shapeshifter)
Jan (CN Thief/Illusionist)
Yoshimo (N Bounty Hunter)
Nalia (CG Dual Class Thief/Mage)
Keldorn (LG Inquisitor)
Mazzy (LG Fighter)
Haer'Dalis (CN Blade)
Imoen (NG Dual Class Thief/Mage)
Jaheira (N Druid)
Minsc (CG Ranger - and Boo of course! [img]smile.gif[/img] )
Edwin (CE Conjurer)
Viconia (NE Cleric)

A lot of the other NPCs from BG1 are there too, but you can't recruit them into your party (which I hate--I just ran into Coran, and damn I loved him in BG1). They're mainly to provide background, give subquests, and provide comic relief. (There's a place called Spellhold, which is where they stick magic-users who are insane or otherwise can't control their powers. Go in for a visit--"Oh, hi there, Tiax!")
