if you want extra items try playing the darkest day, if you wanna create itens id try asking someone on the tdd forum- they might know.

You might want to check out TeamBG for more information on editing/creating items. You will require certain tools (software), and you can them there for download. There are also some tutorials there that you should probably read.

If, after reading them and downloading the necessary tools, you have a specific question, feel free to PM me. I'll try and help (though I'm still learning myself).

Most definitely check out TeamBG and look for both the Infinity Engine Editor Pro and WinBiff. WinBiff will extract individual item files from the .bif files and IEEP will allow you to edit those files. Edit items that already exist in the game may be re-saved into the override folder; items you yourself create must be saved into an .iap file and imported into the override folder (a relatively easy process, if you read the readme.txt files). Start slowly, changing only one thing at a time, until you begin to feel more comfortable with editing.

Trying to create an item from scratch might be moderately difficult, especially if you are not totally sure of what you are doing. However, suppose you wanted to create some sort of axe; you could begin with a normal axe that has no properties (ax1h01.itm) and then simply add properties from there. After that, you could play around with changing the coloration of the axe, any animation (for thrown axes), the proficiency used (2-handed axe or 1-handed axe), etc. Start small, though, then work up to the more complex changes later.

step by step LOL.

first, chill. second, download everything at teambg; saves time later because you won't be missing anything. third, go to the teambg forums and read ALL the tutorials, even the ones you don't think you're interested in; every bit of editing cross-references every other piece. fourth, do what azred said: start small. five, there is no five, go straight to six. six, be patient with yourself, double-check three or four times and most importantly, have fun.

I have done loads of items, from simple toothpick to frikkin' complex items with 'x-times-per-day' abilities, 3d effects and what not else.. But it's still difficult to tell "step-by-step", as there's a lot involved. Probably easier way is to check the TeamBG forums or something.. I aint that good at explaining.

And nope, I aint going to make customer items for anyone. It's pretty time consuming [img]smile.gif[/img]
