anyone know any good (GOOD) sites that may help me with this? how to reformat my dang harddrive?

oy.... getting tired of constant gamefreezes and browser freezes

your suggestions would be appreciated thanks

hmmm, well there are a couple of things you must have first and ask yourself ...

1. do you want your information (impt ones) saved? like the my documents and other subdirectory?
2. how many hard disk do you have? (if you have two i suggest putting your old files into the 2nd hard disk for backup.
3. do you have windows installation cd disk?

so what you have to do is to backup the files you need (if you have 2 hard disk.) i dont know how if there is only one hard disk.
enter bios... and (i presume you have a cdrom) put the boot sequence for cdrom first then hard disk 2nd.
then when the option comes out to boot with cd rom support click on that and then format away your old drive c: and reinstall windows.

that is what i do... (NOTE: i use win98 OS.) im not sure if it will work on XP or 2000.

Important point - make sure you know what graphics card, motherboard etc you have *before* you format the drive.

That way you can make sure you can get all the drivers you need without too much effort.

saved all the disks that has all the drivers in them. *nods* ALL disks... neeners.
I alway always (you guys should too) save all the files and stuff in the disks
no 2nd harddrive though I was thinking of getting another one. hm

still got the windows installation disk from day one

no. not back up files
the wurm viruses ate away some of the files in my computer and
I'm not going to do the back up files because I'll be saving the bad old files and if I put them back in, it'll start ALL over again.

I'm a WIN98

now have a stupid problem, this so-called winmodem keeps interferring the online gameplay *kicks it* I hope I don't reinstall that as well
